It has been quite the journey over the past year. With the release of Rise and Shine, I had the opportunity to travel the world and meet wonderful people. All the while, we were working on completing my first movie, VITALITY. I’ve had the honor of hanging with some of the coolest and smartest people around and boy has it been fun. Imagine reading the book of someone you admire and then getting to hang out with them in their living room and ask them whatever you’d like…amazing.

So the Tao that can be spoken, is not the eternal Tao. No way. Words cannot convey. Can films? Absolutely not. Are they worth making anyways? 100% I’m very happy with what we’ve done as is serves as a catalyst for normal, average people all around the world to find their inner Vitality and attain true health. This movie will speak to everyone but is designed to motivate and wake up those that have fallen asleep. We’ve all got them…that aunt who identifies with her arthritis, the cousin who’s always promising he’ll watch his diet, the dad who turns red in the face but swears he has no stress…you know- everybody out there.

This project is about empowerment and reaching out to our loved ones with a message of hope. Health is in OUR hands. WE are the only ones that can act on it and WE are the ones that sit at the center of all Vitality. I ask that you help us spread this message and get it out there. Big Pharma and the insurance companies have created a system that’s a scam…trapping people in a medical model that squeezes every last penny out of them before they die. It’s almost like the Matrix except it is very real.

We’ve set up a model where proceeds go back into making our communities stronger. Let’s build a human network together here. I personally am as happy as I’ve ever been. I used to think peace was living in the mountains and doing my Qi Gong. A little meditation by a stream and poofy clouds. That’s wonderful but there’s something very special about being plugged into something you’re passionate about and going for it. Swords are drawn and we are charging. Life is good :)

Here’s the trailer to the movie-

Please help us spread the love and PLEASE please please get involved yourself…make Vitality a part of your life and let’s all thrive together.

The Anatomy of Alchemy

I just had the honor of spending time with one of the Abbots of my tradition- Dr. Thomas McCombs. He was teaching about the history of our Tao Tan Pai lineage but there was a particular aside that grabbed my attention. Being a doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. McCombs has extensive experience in both medicine and the Taoist esoteric arts.

He taught me about a particular network of veins called Batson’s Vertebral Plexus. I remember studying this in school but the implications did not strike me at the time. Batson’s plexus is a venous channel which directs blood flow from the pelvis/sacrum back up the spine and up to the brain.

“The plexus comprises the intracranial-cortical veins, dural sinuses, cavernous sinuses and ophthalmic veins and the vertebral venous plexuses which freely anastomose with the intracranial venous system.”

Huh?

The end of health as we once knew itThere are many ways to “fix” an old broken train…little tweaks here and there…just enough to make sure the thing keeps moving along so the passengers don’t really get too stirred and start to question what’s going on. You can essentially fool the people into staying ignorant about the inner workings/problems by watching their movies or playing cards. All the while, the engineer knows there’s a very very big problem yet the boss demands that the show must go on. Why? Because there’s money to be made! Lots and lots of money. What the passengers don’t know won’t kill them…well, actually it will but it’ll be a slow and morbid death where they will willingly give up all their money, assets, and freedom just to “get better” which can never happen.

What am I talking about? Healthcare. The broken system which is better called “sickcare” in this country.

If you look at the rising cost of healthcare and the way the nation’s health are going, you have to understand that this “plan” simply isn’t working. Obesity and childhood diabetes are reaching epidemic levels. Heart disease and cancer are ravaging our population. More and more people are getting chronically ill and our current healthcare system is ill-equipped to deal with this crisis.

Happy holidays!

I’m just working to finalize a few parts of the new 100 Day Gong app so we can launch it in the new year. We’re almost there :)

I’ve just put together a “how to” video for you so you can fill out out Life Manifestation Workbook correctly. This is really important as it is a contract with YOURSELF so I walk you through the thing and help make it clear. Go ahead and download the Ebook and the Gong Grid before you watch the video so you can go through it with me. If you have questions, we’ll answer them in the weekly calls once the app launches. It’ll probably be in the second week of January so start thinking about what you’d like to change, work on, correct, and manifest in your life!

Here’s the video- enjoy.

Dec 21 marks the Winter Solstice. This is a really important day in Taoist and Shamanic traditions because it marks a critical transition. This is the day where the YIN energy on our planet (Northern hemisphere) is at its highest (longest night) and YANG energy at its lowest (shortest day). [It is the exact opposite for the Southern hemisphere] Essentially, it is the endpoint in the “funnel” or “hour glass” of time as it moves through a 4 dimensional tauroidal field. Let’s take a look to illustrate:

You’ll notice how the Yin and Yang lines come together along the central axis and how they are the furthest apart at the height of their arcs. That’s exactly where we are right now. Here’s another way to look at it:

The ancient esoteric arts of Kung Fu, Yoga, and Acupuncture are all interconnected because they all come from ancient systems that have an energetic understanding of the body. In Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and several other ancient traditions, the energy meridians (Chinese) or nadi (Indian) in the body carry the life force to every organ. These energy pathways carry the flow of life-giving energy to every cell of the body.

Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese art of using fine needles to correct and manipulate the flow of this energy when it has gone out of balance. Restoring the proper flow of qi energy often quickly corrects ailments and allows the body to heal itself naturally. Acupuncture has been effectively used for thousands of years to correct all sorts of ailments in millions of people worldwide.

The Chakras are the energy storage sites (in the tradition of Hinduism) along the central channel. These spinning wheels of light show the quality and flow of the vital energy running through our systems and and can be used to both diagnose illness and to treat it. There are seven main chakras in the Indian system which correlate to three “dantiens” in the Chinese system. These “pools” of energy flow also act as reservoirs for our Vitality.

Here’s a compilation of studies put together that show just how horrible excessive sitting is for our health. From bio mechanical problems that lead to low back pain to heart disease, diabetes, and obesity…you can be sure that sitting around is going to catch up with you. Paleolithic Humans evolved in an active and very dynamic environment where we moved around for hours a day. Frankly, modern living is killing us and here’s some ammo for that argument:

The Paleo Qi Gong Connection

Taoism 5 Elements -Taoism is based on unity with the natural energy that is all around us. The early Taoists studied the movement of the seasons and stars while watching animals and their behaviors in order to unlock the secrets of the Universe. The aim- to connect with the innate wisdom of nature and be one with that flow.

As a modern-day Taoist, I find these to be very exciting times. Barefoot running is awesome. The Paleo diet makes the most sense. There are several people teaching primitive skills and survival all over the world. I’ve spoken with and interviewed a number of the specialists in these fields for my second movie “Origins” and am in the throws of this “ancient wisdom fiesta”. We are really at a wonderful place in out understanding of ourselves and, funny enough, it really only had to do with looking back and studying where we came from.

Dr. Dale Archer is a charismatic psychiatrist who’s got a lot to say about education and the idea of what is considered “normal” in America today. We discussed anxiety, depression, education, and ADHD among many other things. He’s a delightful man and is really great to listen to. Here’s the archived show:
